My time at Akeso was incredible; I connected with excellent professionals
and worked on a complex project to automate clinical processes in the U.S.
using the Scrum methodology. I experienced significant development, both
technically and managerially. I aimed to enhance and apply my knowledge of
design patterns and the DRY and SOLID principles.
The challenge in this project was the use of a relatively new technology
called Livewire, designed to simplify the construction of dynamic applications
using PHP with the consistency of the Laravel framework. Despite its active
community, there were limitations in documentation, and there was a shortage
of available teams to update the tool, including ours.
Over time, I was recognized as the technical leader of the team, actively
participating in the creation of technical solutions and managing the team to
deliver the agreed-upon functionalities for each Sprint.
I started at Pride as a Software Engineer working on an Application Tracking
System (ATS) project, which is an internal tool used to support the company's
core business.
This application changed how I perceive software architecture, as its
distributed (microservices), complex, and legacy architecture was a new
experience and a significant challenge for the new development team. Thanks
to my familiarity with TDD, I was able to contribute with excellence and
confidence, ensuring that the delivered code is robust and performs well. My
knowledge of the Factory pattern and SOLID principles solidified deliveries that
are easy to maintain and extend.

Since November 2021, I've been appointed as the leader of the multicultural
and multidisciplinary technical team for the project, focused on providing
increased security for the application by creating, documenting, and aligning
development processes, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery
(CD).
At the beginning of my career, I worked as a full-stack freelancer on small
projects for management support systems, including those for automotive
repair shops, machining shops, active marketing (call centers), and sales.
It was during this time that I had my first professional exposure to the PHP
language and the Laravel framework (versions 5.6 and 6.2 at the time), with
guidance from my younger brother.
And so began a new journey in my life into the world of programming and
software engineering.
